  9.              This text file tells you how to install C-Scout
  10.              and describes what has changed in this version.

  15.              C-Scout and also detailed information about the API interfaces

  34.   INSTALLING C-SCOUT

  37.          o   To install C-Scout unzip the file cscout.zip in the directory
  38.              of your choice.
  39.              e. g.: "unzip cscout.zip"

  41.          o   Add the following directories to the corresponding environment
  42.              variables where "X:\CSCOUT" stands for the C-Scout-directory.
  43.              - Add X:\CSCOUT\DLL to the libpath-statement in the config.sys.
  44.              - Add X:\CSCOUT\EXE to the path-statement in the config.sys.
  45.              - Add X:\CSCOUT\EXE to the help-statement in the config.sys.
  46.              - Add X:\CSCOUT\EXE to the bookshelf-statement in the config.sys.
  47.              - Add X:\CSCOUT\LIB to the lib-statement in the config.sys.
  48.              - Add X:\CSCOUT\INCLUDE to the include-statement in the config.sys.

  71.   ABOUT THE DEMO
  72.   ______________

  74.          The demo is a fully functional version of C-Scout which
  75.          is limited to a maximum of 250 trace messages.
  76.          To start the demo after installing double-click on the
  77.          PMScout object in the C-Scout folder. The PM Console will be started
  78.          and it should contain a view which defines the sample
  79.          MTESTPM.EXE as the program to be traced. If you altered the
  80.          default path during the installation procedure you will
  81.          probably have to change the path defined in the view.
  82.          To do this select the view and click on the settings icon
  83.          in the toolbar. Change the path accordingly and save the new
  84.          settings. Start tracing by clicking the start icon and then start
  85.          the mtestpm.exe program from the samples directory.
